Rejuvenate with Mental Detox

Have you heard about Mental Detox? Have you ever performed Mental Detox or support the fact that there is no need for a Mental Detox?

Are you peaceful and calm throughout the day or suffer quite often from stress, anger, overthinking, fear, anxiety and such other qualities which are peace barriers?

Based on the information published by bodyandsoul.com, 'it is estimated that our minds run tens of thousands of thoughts per day and neuroscience has revealed that we spend an average of 95% of this time in the subconscious mind. This means we are unconsciously operating on ‘auto-pilot mode’ most of the day and not even fully aware of the quality of our thoughts and how they may be impacting us physically, emotionally, and energetically.'

It is therefore very much certain and a proven fact that Mental Detox is not only beneficial but a necessity for every individual. Mental Detox in simpler terms is to clean and protect one's mind from such thoughts that have adverse impact on the wellbeing of an individual.

There are thousands of activities that could be done to perform Mental Detox depending upon one's requirements. However, the most efficient method to do Mental Detox is to practice the technique of avoiding (or dieting from) the qualities due to which one's peace is affected. We all know that dieting is an act of restricting one's food intake to maintain a controlled weight or to prevent from any disease or medical issues. Similarly, one should also on a regular basis perform mental detox or mental diet by avoiding the qualities like ego, anger, jealousy, overthinking, social media addiction and so on.

Inspire yourself to perform mental detox by not falling in the trap of the qualities that impact your mental health. For example, this weekend encourage yourself to avoid 'Overthinking' completely. Monitor your thoughts and as soon as your mind starts overthinking, start focusing on something else - a good memory or achievement of yours or start thinking about your best hobby or free time activity.

Just as you promise to go to gym or exercise atleast 2-3 days a week to stay physically fit, promise yourself to get rid of the qualities like fear and anger atleast few days a week. Choose the qualities that you suffer the most from. Slowly slowly these small acts will become habits and help you in performing mental detox on a regular basis thereby improving your mental health and overall wellbeing.
