You become what you believe. You are where you are today in your life based on everything you have believed.” ― Oprah Winfrey 'Time passes very quickly' - a well known statement. I am sure there would not have been anyone who would have not stated or heard this statement ever. But then do we actually do anything so that the next time when this statement is mentioned we can satisfactorily say yes time passed very fast but I am satisfied with how I lived and cherished my life.
Let's understand the above based on one experience that I am sure everyone would have had in their lives, which is, travelling to another town, city or country for a small vacation or on a business trip (although the place and purpose will be different for every one). What happens when we go to a new place for a week? Are we excited? How many plans do we make? We plan each and every hour of each day of our travel - where we will go - what we will see - what is the important landmark there which should be seen - how to make sure that we do not miss anything important there and so on. You will laugh if anyone who went to London did not see Big Ben or the London Bridge; anyone who went to Paris and returned without seeing the Eiffel Tower; anyone visiting Agra did not see Taj Mahal; or anyone visiting Dubai did not see Burj Khalifa. No matter whatever happens and whether we get time or not, we make time and ensure that we do not miss to see the important landmarks as we are so cautious that upon return back to our country, people will pass on comments that we returned back without seeing the important landmark. Also, we are not sure if we will return back to this place again or not and get chance to see all the beautiful landmarks of that place. So every effort is made to utilize the days, hours, minutes and seconds to the maximum even though we get exhausted.
What if we consider the above example and enlighten ourselves? Are we making the best use of every day, hour, minute and second of our current human life? Are we excited and make efforts to live our life to the fullest? Do we do everything that soothes and satisfies our soul? Or we just let months and years pass by and complain that I don't have time to relax, to exercise, to do this and to do that and the most important time to do what I really love. That is, the thing after doing which I don't feel exhausted but feel satisfied. Don't let time just pass.
Let's make every effort to find our purpose in life and live and cherish life by being the CEO of our own life and not for just few days of travel to a holiday destination.
