'Work from home' has become a common trend since the past few years and now it is becoming more of a necessity than a temporary measure.
Amidst the increasing social media frenzy, people have started to travel more for weekends, summer or winter breaks. However, there has never been a need more than now to consider staying at home to embrace, experience and rejoice the blissfulness and peace that cannot be obtained anywhere else.
Research says that spending more time at home improves mental health, family bonding and also reduces stress and anxiety. Therefore, we need to upgrade our mindset to rejoice our home, our comfort zone, rather than considering it as a mere storage for our things and belongings. Think about how much money and efforts we spend in building our homes or even for availing them on lease.
When was the last time you spent the entire day (24 hours) at your home - relaxing, remembering your memories, reading, inspiring and slowing down?

It's still not late in case you cannot remember when you last embraced your home. Starting from this weekend, use atleast one of the days every week to explore and elevate this experience at your own home. Read a book that will boost your motivation, have hi-tea with your family at home, sit for few hours together with family cherishing good memories and eating healthy food, experience blissfulness through silent meditation, rest (simply lie down) in your bed for several hours, watch inspiring movies, calm yourself through nature.
If you think that you cannot experience peacefulness at home, then this is just a thought taking you away from an amazing experience. You just need to be more disciplined, similar to how we have adapted to the work from home practice.
Sthitapragya Diaries recommends its readers to spend atleast half or 1 day every week at home to experience peace and relaxation through a combination of activities and rituals that suits you. Thereafter, extend this experience for a greater number of days.
Remember, you don't need expensive trips or outings for vacation or relaxation. If you don't know how to experience a good, inspiring break at home, then you cannot experience it anywhere else.

Yes, we have all forgotten how to cherish simple pleasures at home. Thanks for this reminder. Lovely post!
