Moving On - A Way of Life

2 min read

"Just Move On" is perhaps one of the most common pieces of advice, suggestion or expectation from society especially when something unexpected happens in one's life or when a person is going through challenging phase.

While the intention behind the advice is often to encourage healing and resilience, moving on is rarely as simple as it sounds. Some of us develop the strength to move forward within days, while others may require more time.

Most of us are already doing our best each day to keep going, adapt and move forward while navigating life's never-ending challenges. Considering this, moving on is no longer a concept reserved for those going through tough times.

In today's fast paced world, moving on means much more for each one of us, that is, moving forward by working every day to enhance one's mindset, habits, thoughts and the overall lifestyle.

The growing need to prioritize mental health because of stress, unhealthy lifestyle, undisciplined routine, constant need of running in a rat race and unnecessary expectation of being better than others strongly shows the need of protecting oneself and moving forward by enhancing several aspects connected to one's life.

Despite this, if a person still believes that there is no imminent need to improve and that they are correctly living their best lives, this definitely shows that one is not interested in his/her personal growth. The truth that we all need to accept is that growth is a continuous journey, not a destination and therefore each of us should not only reflect on our actions, habits and mindset regularly but also proactively build a routine to embed the healthy practices into our life. Even companies with healthy balance sheets and excellent profits keep on reviewing their strategy and growth plan.

Therefore, starting today, make a conscious commitment to practice the art of moving on, every day of this precious life, with a vision of living a more meaningful, productive and fulfilling human birth.

Start with yourself before wanting to change others or expecting them to behave in a way you consider appropriate. Stop complaining and move on by replacing complaints with acceptance, resistance with resilience, and negativity with growth.

Slowly but surely, this daily practice of moving on will bring a sense of satisfaction, inner peace, happiness and blissfulness in your life.
