Irony of an Aeroplane

'Airplane' or 'Aeroplane' - a means of transport that helps people to cross huge distances in few hours thereby reducing the distance between people.

Business, holidays, relaxation, meeting family, attending wedding of close family members and friends, etc - the reasons could be any but the ultimate result is bringing of people together.

Now let's think of it from another side with the help of the below story which is based on the girl name Rose:

Rose was born and brought up with family and friends around always. When she got married, she had to leave her country and travel to a foreign country to stay with her husband. Few months went well as she was settling in her new place and in her newly married life. But then slowly by slowly she started missing the environment surrounded by family and friends in her home country. Initially she used to call them and speak to them but noticed that hardly anyone would call her on their own. Slowly she stopped calling people and also realized that people will only speak to her if she called them. Some people whom Rose used to call on a regular basis (considering that it was her duty to call them) would only talk to her when she called. The most surprising as well as shocking thing for Rose was that none of them ever asked her if she got nicely settled in the new country easily.

Months and years started passing by slowly by slowly. Being in a foreign country, there was not much socializing (as it used to be in her home country) except for few get together among friends. She used to wait for marriages for her friends and family members so that she could attend (if possible). But she realized that Rose and her husband started to be considered as very far and therefore marriages and family events were never planned in such a manner that Rose and her husband could visit and be part of these occasions (which they use to very much miss while they were abroad). No body could feel their emotions. Even on special festivals, she would wait and wait for the close ones to call and check if Rose and her husband were nicely celebrating the festival and that Rose and her husband were being missed back home. The most shocking thing for Rose and her husband was when the only question they were asked was 'How are you?' or 'Is everything ok?' (with the intention to just ask). Even important messages or talks about the family members back home would not be subject to their discussion even when Rose or her husband would do regular ritual calls.

If Rose stayed in her home country even after marriage, would this happen to her? Travelling abroad made her learn the real meaning of relationship which she would have never learnt if she would have not left her home country and God really wanted her to learn the concept of detachment from the material world and connect more to God thereby making good use of human life.

To conclude, the airplane definitely helps in reducing the distances between people, but not always specially when God has a different plan for you and wants to elevate you to a higher level. This makes us learn that whatever path is given to us, it is for our benefit, and we should be keen to follow what God really wants us to learn from this path.
