Whether it is end of a day or a week, we ensure to recharge our body with good food, rest and sleep. But how many of us remember to recharge our mind and soul?
We are very well aware that our cars not only need petrol/ diesel/ electricity but also a proper engine to function. How can we forget that recharging our mind and soul is equally as important as recharging our body.
Meditation, yoga, exercise, practicing hobbies, going for a spa treatment, spending time in nature, listening to good music, reading good books, and such other activities could be performed to calm your mind and soul depending upon your lifestyle. There are many professionals who could also support us to perform the complete recharge. Encourage yourself this weekend to start spending time and perform activities that will help you to recharge your mental battery also.

Sthitapragya Diaries encourages its readers to try the below techniques to easily calm and recharge one's mind and soul on a regular basis:
1. Identify your Peacegivers - people, things and activities that gives you peace are to be considered as peacegivers for you. Identify and make a list of your peacegivers and spend time with atleast one peacegiver daily even if it is for a few minutes. The most efficient peacegiving activity is to recite spiritual scriptures. Spiritual practice is the best path for everlasting peace and happiness. Watching inspirational movies or spending time in nature are also good peacegiving activities.
2. Gratitude list - Make a gratitude list and keep on updating and reading this list regularly. The list should contain every thing that you have in your life no matter how big or small.

3. Empty your mind - Practice the exercise of emptying your mind on a regular basis. Imagine yourselves without any concerns, issues, thoughts as if you are given a new birth or life and there is nothing bothering you - no happiness, no distress, no work, no commitments. Enjoy the peace that your mind will be experiencing while practicing this exercise.
4. Desires list - Make a list of all your desires and wants. Start striking out the items from your list without which you could still survive. Update this list on a regular basis and read out loud the items that you have striked off. This will help you to clean your mind from thinking about unnecessary desires.
